About Me

I am a born and raised Edmontonian growing up in the multicultural area of Millwoods. I am currently registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists and am governed by their Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. I am also a member of the Psychologists Association of Alberta. I spend as much time outdoors as possible to connect with nature. I am passionate about biking and camping in all 4 season, being active as well as spending time with my family and quirky pets (two Pups / two Cats)

My Approach to Therapy

       Intention. Discipline. Outcome.

Life can feel chaotic and uncomfortable at times, like this picture of my three very different beloved family members. I appreciate the opportunity to work with individuals, couples and family systems to make positive sustainable shifts. Engaging in therapy can be a challenge as the road is not always straightforward. I will be there to navigate with you!

I clinically explore individuals from a biopsychosocial perspective looking at the interconnections of biology, psychology and social aspects.  We do not function in isolation but are a part of a system within ourselves as well as with the world around us. Understanding these connections can be an invaluable insight.

I have worked with children, youth, adults, and families since 2003 and have taken a multidisciplinary collaborative approach with my clients. I have worked in consultation with psychiatrists and community tertiary programming and have understanding of medication evaluations and drug interactions. I utilize humour and have the ability to activate hope into something tangible that can be experienced and not just wished for.

I specialize in:

-Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)

-Dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT)

-Solution focused therapy

-EMDR and Ego State Interventions

-Mindfulness

-Positive Psychology

-Family Systems

Utilizing evidence-based practice we will form an intention focusing on discipline and clearly defined treatment goals to give you the positive outcomes you are looking for.
